I Need Tips on Preparing for the Future!

I finally started to take my first steps towards investing in real estate when I finish college next spring! I would love to hear suggestions on the most important things I can do now to prepare myself for the future. I have been saving up money the past few years and learning all I can about the ins and outs of real estate investing. My plan following college is to purchase a duplex or triplex using an FHA loan and living in one of the units.

Some things I have began to work on are:

-Expanding my knowledge of real estate

-Improving my credit score

-Getting in contact with investors / real estate agents

-Browsing houses to get a better idea on pricings and the reasoning behind it

Any suggestions on how to better prepare would be awesome!
