Young investor, upcoming real estate agent, advice?

Hello,

I first came across this app a few months back and have not used it since.

I’m 17 years old, and finished highschool a few months early. I don’t turn 18 until October, therefore I can’t register to get my real estate license just yet. For the past 6 months, I’ve been reading lots, and watching lots of videos. I’ve read a few books such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, and The Secret To A Millionaire Mind, to begin learning more about financial literacy. I still have a bunch more books that I have bought but have no yet got to reading.

I’ve been trying to find an experienced real estate agent or investor that would be willing to mentor me in exchange for free work, but it hasn’t been very easy!

What are some suggestions or biggest tips and tricks that have helped you to get started? Or what are the best ways to find clients? Any books you recommend that have helped you a lot, or a specific youtuber?

Once you take the class, pass the test, and get your license, you will join a brokerage where you can pretty easily find mentors who will need help with Open Houses or renters so you can match your age and experience to assist them. If you have other skills, you may be able to do admin work to learn while going. Join some online meetups and listen and learn and see what you like about real estate in the real world before committing to a path.
