NYC Newbie to Real Estate

Hi everyone, I am really fresh to the real estate world but I'm looking to buy my first property within 12 months, and as early as the end of this year. I've read several books and joined different webinars and have had a million ideas for my first investment, but ultimately, I believe a multifamily house-hack would be the best to start with. I have a regular day job as a tax CPA at an accounting firm, so even though we are 100% remote right now, there is a chance I have to stay near Manhattan so that I can commute to the office 2-3x a week. Obviously, the issue there is that my options are a lot more limited given the cost of buying in/near the city, but I know it's doable. I'm posting here because I want to network more but I also need to find a real estate agent who can help me find a good property. Where is the best place to find somebody? And any tips on where/how to network?
