Becoming a RE Agent

Does it make sense to attend Real Estate school to become an agent just to have access to the MLS if you don't want to be an Agent?

You have to be a licensed agent to have access to the ML, which means passing all the exams, hanging your license with a broker, paying dues and ML fees and having CE to keep up on for license renewal. You dont have to be a truely "active" agent but you do have to be an agent.
