Investing in US real estate from Canada (Former US resident)

Hello everyone,

I want to invest in the US real estate from Canada and I was wondering if there are people here who have invested in the US from Canada(More affordable houses in US than Canada). How do I go about this?

I am currently in touch with a real estate agent in Houston and I was wondering if there are other areas I could research on.
