Looking to get started in realestate at 20

I’ve been interested in the idea of selling real-estate as well as investing / learning to wholesale real-estate for a long time. I plan on leaving my current 9-5 very soon and I believe getting involved in real-estate is the direction I’d be most satisfied.

What is the best way to get started? I bought a course from realestateexpress to acquire a real-estate license In Kentucky but I find it’s rather dry and hard to digest. What’s the best way to find mentors / entrepreneurs in the space to learn from? Not really interested in people online just making a quick buck selling courses.

Im 20 and full of hustle, determination, and willingness to learn. Could anyone give me pointers & send me in the right direction?

It’s not my definition of fun either so I get it completely! Everything I’ve done after has been much more fun.

It took me a little over 2 weeks to power through the Real Estate Express online course. I didn’t dedicate time to it, I focused on the percent. I dedicated myself to do at least 5% of the course per day. It was usually around 4 hours give or take. Some days I did more than that, it just depended on what I had going on.

I found that most of the chapter quizzes were kinda useless when compared to the licensing exam. The final exam and the practice exams it gives you after are similar to the licensing test. After I completed the course I just took those practice exams over and over until I knew the questions inside and out. That strategy may not work for all but it worked for me. I passed on the first try. It’s definitely a good feeling when you finally do finish! Power through the course and licensing exam, then you can get to the fun stuff!
