Just getting started

Hi BP community,

I am Jack from the UK and have just found BP and am loving the content here. I have just recently realised that I am in a position to invest in my first property and am looking into getting a residential mortgage and house hacking, with a view to keep working and build a portfolio. I would love any recommendations on books I should read to get a good grasp on analysing deals and house hacking. I tried to make use of the BP calculator today and noticed that it is only dialled to calculate the US market. I will be investing in the UK and would love to know how I could calculate deals accurately in the UK market and I'd love to learn more about choosing geographically as I'm currently unsure of where to buy.

Any advice and recommendations would be so much appreciated.

All the best,
Jack
