Beginner Investor in DFW area

Hello all- Been on BP for some time now and officially making my first post. I'm in the DFW area and ready to take the plunge into REI. Looking to meet with like-minded people in the area and learn as much as I can! I think single family homes may be my best bet in getting started. I currently own a home (less than 1 year) and rent out a couple rooms. Really looking to figure out best way to finance my first investment property. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
