Seller does not want to work with wholesalers

I talked with a Fsbo and I soon as I said I’m an investor he cut me off and said he is not going to work with wholesalers and not signing assignment of contracts. I know I messed up I want to give him a call back, I don’t want to lose this deal, he also asked for Pof, What should I say?
