Looking to Form a Small Business
I have started fleshing out a business plan and I have been flip flopping on the best way to structure a real estate company. I initially started with a belief that we could form a REIT but after a few Google searches it seemed like the regulations to acquire this structure did not seem attainable. After a bit more research I thought that a RELP seemed like a better idea. After speaking with one of my partners he thought a better idea would be to simply start off with an LLC. ANY ADVICE?
Context: I am looking for any extra information on the best ways to structure a real estate company with a few partners. We have some capital between us but would be looking to source funds from a single investor in order to get enough capital buy rent rehab rent & refinance a multi family home.
Thanks,
Drew B.
