Moving to Richmond - VA to start REI Journey

Hello Everyone

I’m currently in Carmel Indiana and planning to move to Richmond Virginia in 6 months. My plan is to rent a place and then rehab my first property. I’m still 50:50 on renting the unit or flipping it. I’ll have around 100k in my hand and currently working in IT industry with a lower 6 figure salary. So I’m not planning to quit my job soon. But I have enough spare time to spend. I know market is really thin right now and I hope it will get changed in conning 6 months.

1. To jump start the process do you all have any advice for me?

2. Is there a way to build connections with other individuals from Richmond area

3. Any good places I should concentrate in Virginia for REI?

Thank You!

Cheers
