Hi everyone,

I'm an RN and my husband is an MRI tech here in Orange County, CA and we're new to this investing thing. We've been doing our own research, reading real estate books and listening to podcasts yet we hope to get some insights or another pair of eyes and mind to help us out with providing more information, advice, or previous experiences that will help us out with our decision-making process. My end goal is to eventually quit nursing and scale faster. Just to give a brief background, we've been doing house hacking bought our first house in 2012 and bought another one last year with an ADU. Both of our houses are located here in Huntington Beach, CA so far we're cash flowing $800/month on the first house and with the second house we have rent coming in from the ADU that's helping us out with our mortgage. We've been saving up money to move on with our next step to scale and we're ready. However, we just don't know how to do this right due to lack of my experience.

With all the research we've done, we just want advice as to whether buy multifamily in Houston, Tx, vacation home in Big Bear, or buy multifamily in orange county vs anywhere in California.

Any input or advice on this is much appreciated. Thanks everyone!
