How do I approach Private Lendors

I know several people with the money available to lend if they were willing to fund deals I put together. These folks have never invested in real estate before, have their cash in CD's or money market accounts earning little to nothing. What is the best approach to asking if they would be interested in loaning that money for these deals? At what rate would I give them for borrowing their money and at what terms? Any advice would be appreciated
