Rich dad poor dad ideas legit?

Hi friends. I’m a complete newbie and want to get into starting to own rental real estate and honestly reading rich dad poor dad is what got me here but I am beginning to wonder if it is fluffed up? I say this because I’m wondering if anyone really can do this because all I am finding out is that you have to have a lot of money up front and banks really are not wanting to give you money, at least me. Lol. As someone brand new to this without start up, can you really get started with “saving”? Thanks
