How to Manage Real Estate like a Business

Hello All,

I just closed on a duplex and I can already tell that I'm treating Real Estate more like a job rather than a business. I see many people on here stating that they have closed multiple deals in a month, and even though I'm just starting and shouldn't be comparing myself to others, I do realize the importance of creating a business. Currently I'm focusing on all of the miscellaneous tasks of real estate like bookkeeping rehabbing, etc.  which is important at the rookie stage so that I have the experience to wisely delegate the tasks. However, I would like to hear how you all have shifted from more of an employee to an owner. I know that leveraging relationships is important. I'm trying to do that.

Any advice at all would be helpful. I just don't want to be that landlord that does all the work himself and never scales.

Thanks,

Stephen
