FHA for multi family home in Philadelphia

Austin Plantinga
Posted

Hi BP!

I currently live in Brooklyn Ny but I am looking to purchase a triplex or quad multi-family home in Philadelphia within the next few months. This will be my first time buying a property so I would like to use a FHA loan program and also live in one of the units. I work as freelance architectural floor plan drafter all over the NY/NJ/CT region. I have a 682 credit score and ~$40k in bank accounts. I'm currently looking at properties in the $170k-$250k range.

I would love to connect with any Philadelphia real estate agents and people with FHA lending experience to become more competent on the process.

Thanks in advanced for your help!

You might want to connect with @Daniel Klein who is looking to do the same thing in Philly and is an independent contractor. We also do a Philly REI Zoom on THU nights at 8 PM if you want to join. Look up Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing in the Events or send me a DM. Lots of house hackers looking to do the same thing.
