Furnishing a short term rental

Any company/recommendations on the best way to furnish a short term rental? My creativity/artistic side is not one of my strengths and I'm not sure if I should hire a professional or go for it myself. It's my first investment property and my first time furnishing a home. The property is a 4/2 located in La Quinta, CA. Approximately 2000 sq. feet.

If you're really not feeling up to it, the fastest way to do it well would be to hire a decorator or even a professional stager. But it would be costly. You could just peruse other Air B&B listings - most show photos of every room. That would give you an idea of what your competition looks like. Most online retailers have 'inspiration' photo galleries that are essentially vignettes of rooms filled with decor they sell. You can pick a room you like from one of the photos and literally buy every item in it. Voila! Here are some sites I use (we do staging when we flip homes).

Wayfair  www.wayfair.com (you can get a pro account w/ good discounts)

www.joybird.com

www.interiordefine.com

www.allmodern.com

www.houzz.com (you can also set up a pro account here)

and, of course, there's IKEA  www.ikea.com
