I am totally new to the process of Investing. I want to purchase a property while I am still living in my apartment. I have heard different views about going this route. I really need tips on how and where to start, who to talk to, expenses I should be wary about, etc.

I have read through some post and can tell a lot of you have very good information and source of knowledge. If you could share as much as possible, it would be greatly appreciated!
