Learning to wholesale

I’m located in Portland OR and I’m looking to start wholesaling but I’m not sure where to start. I feel like there’s no deals to start with.

(Especially with all the stuff going on with the rioters and chaos here in Oregon).

Can I make a living off just doing wholesale in Portland area?

I started “driving for dollars” and cold calling a few days ago I’m doing about 20-30 outbound calls a day. Is that too little how much should I be calling a day?

Should I be looking on market for deals? I want to start hustling but I have no idea where to start. I’m about 20 what is your guys’ practical advise for me. I want this to be a kickstart for eventually investing into properties and actually buying them. Or even making a living on this.
