Southern VT - Townhome/condo vs. SFH?

Hi everyone, I'm new and looking to get a southern VT vacation home, how is STR around Dover, Waterboro, Wilmington area? How many month of rental is realistic and would that be enough to break-even, let say 20% down with 30-yr mortgage of a 350k, 3/4 bed home.

I saw some condo/townhomes near Mount Snow that charges 350-750 HOA fees, and they are selling, so I assume that high fee is worth it? one big pro is the close proximity to lift, other than the normal exterior maintenance, snow removal, etc.

want to hear someone in the market to breakdown the pros and cons of townhome/condo vs SFH. Personally, I would lean toward SFH, but if it doesn't make sense on the STR front to cover the annual cost, I would definitely look into townhomes.

Thanks for your help!
