Mentors for new investors
I am a new investor in real estate. I currently have one single family house and plan to continue to expand. I hear a lot on podcasts that having a mentor or someone to hold you accountable is very important. Any advice on how to find a real estate mentor to help guide me?

@Zack Cinotto my first mentor was my lender. He helped me through my first four unit deal, and since then I have found that the concept of "team" is very important. There is no one person who teaches you everything. You meet an attorney, who introduces you to a CPA. Then you meet someone's insurance agent, and they know an inspector who knows a contractor, etc. It takes time, but you build out your list of advisors slowly. I would start with a good realtor, lender and attorney here in Illinois. Normally they will already know each other, so you only need to find one of the 3 to get started as all agents, attorneys and lenders prefer working with the same people to make a smooth client experience.
