How best to get my wife interested in investing in real estate

My wife and I owned an older duplex a few years ago, but sold it to pay off our house.  I very much want to invest in real estate again now that we are done building our home, but the initial reaction from my wife is meh...Anybody have any tricks for spurring her interest in this again?  The duplex we had before cash flowed well, but we took over a bad renter and had to go through an eviction process.  It went fairly well, but she seems to be turned off from the whole idea because of that renter.  Any help would be appreciated as I really want to get back in the business.  Thanks in advance.
