1 owner over to 2 by deed to LLC

My friend owns a townhouse that he lives in and has a loan that we are going to setup a multi member LLC and deed this into that and then rent it out. My question is once its deeded to our LLC I would then be immediately 50% owner the property, correct? Is there any other gotchas I need to consider? Any experts on these types of situations I'd love to talk in more detail.
