Detroit Out of State Investing

Hey, 

I am an agent in Boise, ID and my wife and I want to start investing in the Detroit area. We are wanting to BRRRR most of our portfolio long term, but would also look at flipping some properties to generate some capital in the short term. Who all invests in the Detroit area? I have some questions on the best neighborhoods to look into and how your experience has been.

Hoping to make a trip out there in January to interview a few GCs and PMs if you have any suggestions as well!
