Living in my flip house

I’ve got a couple flips under my belt with a partner of mine. I want to start getting into some rentals on my own. I’m looking into a property that needs some repairs that I could live in, fix up, and turn into a rental. Currently I live on my own with my 5 year old. Any tips and tricks to living in construction?
