Long distance investor in Phoenix

I am currently a professional soccer in Birmingham, Alabama. However, I have family in Phoenix and a brother who is currently a new real estate agent there as well.

I am looking for a small multifamily (ideally a fixer upper) in a good area that has promise. Because I am not living in Phoenix at the moment, I am unsure of the housing trends there.

If there is anyone who has experience with multifamily rental property investing in Phoenix, I would love to get some tips or thoughts on the matter that you think would help me in getting my investing career off the ground!
