A beginner looking for wholesaling advice

Z. Fields
Posted

I recently taken an interest in wholesaling. I looked into several online mentorships and they were all extremely pricey and of course they didn’t come with any guarantees. Any advice for a beginner? I tried YouTube but it seemed like an endless rabbit hole.

What's your interest in wholesaling, like why? Because the problem with wholesaling is that most people think it's an easy way to make some money. If you don't have real estate experience, you will need at least a year of mentoring (for free) by working with other wholesalers and learning to be any good as a wholesaler. You have to know how to evaluate repair costs and study how to do ARV without a license, but in the end, you have to know how to make contact with sellers and then build a buyer's list. The why behind why you want to do it is more important than how you do it because most wholesalers are awful.
