How to set up a group investment.

I am looking to buy some rentals with some family members and would love advice from others who have done deals with partners. Some members have been doing the research and finding deals, some have construction experience and will manage any renovation and some will just provide cash. Do you give equal equity based on cash only? How do you compensate For the time each member spends as it will not be proportional? I don’t want this to create any family drama. Any advice or experience you are willing to share is welcomed. Thanks
