House hackers, which loan did you use?

For those of you who have house hacked in the past, what loan did you use for your first house hack? Ideally I'd like to avoid the PMI, or eventually have it fall of, but I'm open to dealing with it. What's the best way/most optimal way to do this? Thanks in advance!
