2021 Goal Setting? NOW is the time to start planning
I have been sitting down with my team the last couple of weeks going over 2020 results and helping them set their 2021 goals. Over the years I’ve learned 3 goals is the max someone should have, and if you don’t write your goals down, and make them public they just won’t happen. You really need to find way to hold yourself accountable or find someone to hold you accountable for making progress towards your goals. I’ve asked each of the agents on my team to come up with 3 goals under these categories and I’ll follow up with them throughout the year to hold them accountable to their goals.
1 - Business/professional related
2 - Personal investment related
3 - Personal goal
Mine are:
1. Open 2 more real estate offices
2. Do a ground up construction project greater than 10 units
3. Take a 2 week vacation without my phone
Most of my team is trying to do their first flip or a certain number of flips in 2021. One wants to do a condo conversion and after we spoke he went out and got a great project under contract that will be an incredible condo conversion in Watertown, right outside of Boston Massachusetts next year.
One of my goal last year was to do one successful flip. We did 7 successful flips in 2020 and have another 14 underway... we put our first one under contract in January and the rest downhill from there. Set your goals now and hit the ground running into 2021.
Today is daylights savings, use that extra hour to set your 2021 goals you’ll be thankful you did. Feel free to publish them here and make them public. I’ll circle back with you this time next year and ask you how you did.
