Hello,

I am new here and am interested in getting as educated as possible. I would like to learn the basics of strategy and perhaps get some 'how-to' type information for buying investment properties. I would like to start with multi-families and gradually work my way up the scale to larger properties. I would also like to eventually get into flipping, but I think I want to start with buy and holds that can give me an income for further investment.

I have a decent understanding of landlording as I help my parents manage their commercial units. I am just trying to be as educated as possible before I make any moves, as I do not have the savings to make stupid mistakes, though I am obviously open to taking risks like one needs to be in this business.

If anyone has any suggestions as to places I can start becoming educated, I'd really appreciate it. Books, articles or forum topics on here, blogs, etc - anything really. I've downloaded the "Ultimate Beginner's Guide" from this site as well as Brandon Turner's 7 Years to 7 Figures e-book (I found his blog which eventually led me to here).

I have the bad tendency of getting into 'analysis paralysis,' reading anything and everything I find in a rather random and roundabout fashion, so I was hoping someone had some good things for me to read that can put me on the fast track to making a move in the near future.

I'd really appreciate any guidance that can be offered to me and would be forever grateful. This seems like a great community and I'm happy to see that successful people are willing and open to sharing their knowledge.
