Alright BiggerPockets family, I am torn. I have been watching my mother help different people buy and sell real estate as an agent since i was 12 years old. I am now 18 and i can truly say i want to make a career out of Real Estate Investing. I would like to Start Out with Multi Family Properties and House Hack in the RaleighDurham Area but due to my age its difficult to get pre approved due to not having 2 years of a W2 Job. (Recently Got a Job) Should I Find a Partner if so what type and or should I just wait it out. Also I have 20k in savings if that helps.

Were I 18 and in your position, I'd do the following:

1) pester your mom to introduce you to her more established clients

2) if #1 is successful, throw yourself at their feet. By that, I mean ask them what they need the most help with or what they'd be willing to let you do for free

3) learn from them what successful investors are doing

The answer to your question could be partnering or waiting --- or it could be something MUCH better that comes from a relationship you have with a solid investor.

Congrats for having your head on straight at 18, you'll future self will be thanking your current self ;)
