UPSATE NY (ALBANY Area, Amsterdam, Johnstown, or Binghamton)
Hello all, I am new to bigger pockets. I have been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast for a little year and finally decided to join the forum to network and grow my real estate investing knowledge from people like me.
I live in NYC and own two rental properties and would like to continue my investing but NYC/Tri-State area prices are too high. I am currently looking to invest in single family/2 family homes in upstate NY. I will be purchasing all CASH! For me it's a happy medium as it's like doing out of state/long distance investing but in the same state.
As I am bit familiar with the Albany area and a little further north (Amsterdam, Johnstown, Gloversville), I've been doing my research but would appreciate some more insight with any investors/real estate agents/contractors/property managers that is highly familiar with the market in those area.
I am open to other parts of Upstate NY as well (Binghamton, Ithaca, Kingston etc.) but no more than a 3 hours drive from the city. Thank you guys in advance for any and all responses.

Binghamton has an awesome rental market right now. There's a very low barrier to entry, and returns are really decent. Let me know how I can help!
