Any real estate investors in the Minneapolis area out there?

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to Bigger Pockets and to real estate investing. I'm still in the "read lots of books" and "look at lots of spreadsheets" phase. I'm hoping to purchase my first rental property within the next year. I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Minneapolis area that would be willing to share any strategic tips on what is working and what isn't in this area? I'm working on creating my long term plans, but I'm not sure how the market here compares to other places. I know the house prices here are considerable higher than Brandon talks about in his book...But I also know that it's all relative. Any thoughts or advice? (Not looking for a mentor here, just advice.)

Thanks!
