Should Newbies Start Out With Short Sale Investing?
ALL:
Recently, I've been discussing the potential of short sales rising with an instructor from a Flipping Foreclosures course I took a couple years ago, and I wanted to get your opinion on the subject. Do you think it's wise to invest in Short Sales in today's market? What's the best strategy for these type of deals? From my understanding, my past instructor handles the short sales, getting the properties at huge discounts, and turns around and wholesales the property to a cash buyer. I'm told they're making great money with this concept, but the only way I can get in at this time would be to either market for short sale deals and allow the instructor to handle the short sale with the seller and split the profits 50/50, or enter a Short Sales course/mentoring program with the instructor, which will more than likely run $8,000+, depending on the different options offered.
If any of you are participating in similar programs, please provide feedback on your experiences. Any advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your response.
