Wanting to get started but not sure how

Hey everyone, I recently moved back to the US after being abroad for some time and looking to get started investing. I have about 40k I can work with but as I am going through employment change and its Covid, I have no idea what to do as far as loans go.

I am interested in getting into Wholesaling or getting my RE license however I know that will take me about 2 years before I get a loan whereas with any W2 job I might qualify faster. Looking for tips from anyone who might be able to direct me in the right direction.

Thanks!
