Wholesaling Newbie Living In NY

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening. I hope I've found you well.

I'm 22, I live in Brooklyn, from what I read so far this isn't the best market and I should be looking elsewhere. I'm really thinking of getting into wholesaling real estate. I have a few questions and requests, 

1) As I am new to this what markets do you suggest? 

2) What arketing method do you think would have the most success?

3) How to get a property under contract??
