Inspectors referred by agent?

Houston Quintanilla

I am purchasing my first house hack in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Perfect location but the home is older. As a newbie, am I safe using the inspector referred to me through my agent or should I seek out my own? Thoughts/recommendations on inspectors in the DFW. Thanks BP community!

@Houston Quintanilla it all comes back to whether you have an agent with integrity or not. I often times refer a good inspector that I trust to clients here in Chicago. No inspector is perfect, and there are also a lot of time wasters out there who want to spend four hours "inspecting" a condo. You will have to go with your gut on this one, but if you trust your agent then it shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure the inspector is properly licensed, etc.
