Mortgage payment strategies
There is a mortgage payment strategy that says to pay half of the mortgage payment on the 1st/15th of the month and the 2nd half on the 15th/30th depending on the due date of the payment. This reduces the amount of interest that is paid every month thus accelerating the pay down of the mortgage with out requiring any additional money to be put into the payment every month. My question is, for an investment property is this a good strategy? It seems like it would accelerate the accumulation of equity at the expense of write offs of expenses.
