What to expect when you're expecting

I have zero deals at this point. My wife and I decided to get into REI a couple of months ago. We are getting closer to taking action - in fact we made our first offer last week to a wholesaler. I knew that it likely wouldn't get accepted (and it didn't), but it felt good to try.

We had twins in December of 2016, and that year I remember my wife reading "What to Expect When You're Expecting," and I read two books on expectant fatherhood. Those books were great and they try to help you think of all the possible scenarios and assist in planning for a life-changing moment. HOWEVER, when the two kids came out, instantly & at least at first, everything you read in that book goes to the back-burner and is completely forgotten. I mean, heck, you are in trenches! It's warfare and your cute little enemies take no mercy!

This is kind of how I think this whole REI experience is going to be like. I'm on my fifth Bigger Pockets book, I've listened to at least 50 combined BP RE podcasts, I've interviewed a couple of local REIs, and I incessantly consume info to be prepared. It feels like I know what I'm getting into, but I know that when the "baby" - or "babies" in my case - come out, it's going to be a whole new ballgame.

I honestly don't have much of a point for this post, but just felt I'd share that mindset and see if anyone felt similarly.

Have a good weekend!
