Brand new to Real Estate investment

Good day to you all, trust you are all well and keeping safe and & healthy. Brand new to the real estate. Currently living in NYC and seeking a 3 family investment property. I dont wont to spend no more than 700K  for the 1st property and my plan is to rent out 2 units and live in the smallest one until I can build enough equity to purchase my next property. I am seeking advice on how to accomplish
