BRRRR refinance PMI?

New to almost everything in real estate investing, and trying to learn every thing I can. Currently reading two different books, one being BRRRR, By David Greene. I have never refinanced so this might be a dumb question, but Is there PMI on your refi conventional mortgage? Or because they are giving you at or less then 80% of the value, is that waved?
