Newbie searching for a market

Choosing a location seems like a big hurdle. I’ve been studying, reading and listening to podcasts for a few months now. I plan on BRRRRing out of state but the choices are overwhelming.

Anyone have advice on where to start, what to look for and maybe what data to compile to choose a market?
