New BP Member Introduction

Ramal Pitts
Posted

Hi everyone hope all is well. I just recently joined the community about a week or so ago. I learned about BP through a friend word of mouth and did some researching and am currently getting through Brandon’s book “How to invest in real estate with low and no money down”.

I am super excited to learn from you all and begin applying these principles to my personal life and begin my journey to financial independence. I currently live in nyc working in asset management for a large bank and quickly realized after my first year that this may not be the route I want to take for myself long term. Everyone around me is unhappy (including myself) - and most are working these long hours with little to no direct benefit in their personal lives. I am 23 and look at my 33 year old VP and that is definitely not where i want to be - yes great job but there’s no freedom and no happiness.

I am here to learn many different investing strategies, the RE industry itself and the best way for me to make the jump and begin the journey that will change my life hopefully. Any pointers and tips are greatly appreciated especially from the perspective of anyone else who worked in Wall Street and made a jump to begin investing in real estate. Nice to meet you all!
