Veteran with G.I. Bill

Greetings,

I have been scouring the inter webs trying to find a solution to what I want to do with my G.I. Bill. To the experienced investors, what would be a good way to use the free schooling to become a real estate investor? I don’t know if I should lean towards learning all the trades about homes, As in electrical plumbing carpentry or just get a real estate license to get access to all of the listings? Or even get into some business classes. I’m just trying to figure out the most useful route for someone who has no experience with real estate.  My plan now is to buy rental houses and later down the road get into apartment complex’s. Thanks!
