Investing in the back country near a touristy area
I'm new in real estate investing and I am interested in short term rentals in my area.
I live in a coastal touristy area in Provence, in the South of France. Real estate prices along the coast are high so is the demand for short term rentals. The back country (a 45 minutes drive from the coast) is a lot more affordable, and the demand for short term rentals in the countryside is growing as people are looking for more space, an escape, closer to nature.
My question is where should I start? How to identify the best areas to invest in? Is investing in the back country a wiser choice than investing in a coastal city? Is short term rental investment a good strategy when starting out?
Merci!
