Source of flooring for BRRRR

Hi everyone. We're working on our first property (BRRRR) in oklahoma and we're needing carpet on the upstairs portion. We'll be doing vinyl on the downstairs, but this is a better property (4k sq ft) so we want it to look right. At any rate, we got a quote of 2.50/sq ft from home depot, installed. It seems high. Do you guys use standard home repair spots for carpet? The vinyl I'll install myself so the cost will be much more palatable :)
