Property Manager or Real Estate Agent

I am new to investing and have discovered the lucrative rewards real estate can offer. However, I am still unsure of my career path. What would be a smarter decision: becoming a property manager working for a company or becoming an agent? I am just looking for some advice on which direction would be a smarter career choice. By working full-time in real estate and investing part-time, I am hoping to maximize my exposure and gain as much knowledge as possible. Thanks in advance.
