LLC Formation and Associated Tax

Vivek Nangia
Posted

Hey everyone, thanks for the help in advance. I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice on LLC formation.

I have an investment property purchased several years ago that I will be putting on rent in the next month or two. The documentation around the ownership of the property will be changed to reflect the ownership of the LLC.

For details, I reside in Colorado and the investment property is in the Boston region. Specifically, I am looking for information on which state to form the LLC in, if there is a need to file a foreign LLC in the other state, would I need to find a registered agent for both LLCs or just the primary, and any tax implications, etc.

I scoured this website and the internet with little luck on specificities. I believe the answer is simple. However, if more complicated, I would appreciate any re attorney recommendations.

Thank you for your time,

Vivek Nangia
