Driving For Dollars Works

Hi all, I'm yet to purchase my first investment property, but I thought I would share my experience today to perhaps motivate others, and myself if for no other reason. While out driving for dollars, in an area I'm pretty familiar with, I came up on an FSBO sign that had just popped up. I called the number out of curiosity, and although the price was out of the range i'm looking for, after talking to the owner for a few minutes I found out that he has other properties. One of which is in an area that I've been targeting, and he told me he's willing to sell, at a pretty decent price. I've already driven by, and my wife and I plan on going back this evening to take a look. It may or may not be a deal, but I feel like I at least accomplished something on my day off from my W2 job!
